CHALLENGERS GET READY TO BOUNCE THROUGH THE GUILDFORD INFLATABLE 5K
Challengers are thrilled to be named Charity of the Year for the Guildford Inflatable 5k – the world’s biggest fun-filled 5km obstacle course – and are looking for as many Guildford and Surrey residents as possible to join #TeamOrange on Saturday 9 May 2026.
This fantastic event transforms Stoke Park into an inflatable wonderland and features 30 giant challenges, including slides, obstacles and water elements.
Runners and bouncers of all ages and abilities can take on the 5km course, with shorter options available too.
Every bounce and slide you take directly supports Challengers’ vital work, creating spaces where disabled children and young people can thrive and belong through the power of play.
Challengers’ Guildford Centre and headquarters are located on Stoke Park, making this one of the most local and meaningful fundraising events in the charity’s calendar.

About Challengers
Challengers is a registered charity (1095134) dedicated to transforming the lives of disabled children, young people and their families through the power of play. Through play, children learn to build confidence, self-esteem, creativity and how to interact with others. Play is also essential for a child’s cognitive, physical, social and mental wellbeing and development. Sadly, too many disabled young people miss out on play every day. There are many barriers stopping disabled children from playing, from a lack of accessible play facilities to time, money and support.
That’s where Challengers comes in. Established in 1979 (known as ‘The Adventurers Association’) to address the lack of play for disabled children, we remove these barriers by providing safe and truly inclusive spaces across the South East. Disabled children and young people aged 4-18 years can come to our Play and Youth schemes and 555 Service, no matter how complex their needs are, and experience the same fun and friendship as their non-disabled peers, with activities adapted to suit their unique individual needs. While they are with us, their families receive essential respite from their caring responsibilities. We are passionate champions of inclusion and 46 years on, our vision has not faltered – we continue to strive for a world where all children and young people can play together, freely.
