THE CHALLENGERS CHARITY MOTORING EVENT IS BACK
Challengers is once again hosting its popular Motoring Event on Sunday 28 June 2026. Now in its 12th year, this popular event offers a fantastic day out for car and bike enthusiasts while raising vital funds to help transform the lives of disabled children, young people and their families through the power of play.
MORE ABOUT Challengers CHARITY
Challengers is a registered charity (1095134) dedicated to transforming the lives of disabled children, young people and their families through the power of play. Through play, children learn to build confidence, self-esteem, creativity and how to interact with others. Play is also essential for a child’s cognitive, physical, social and mental wellbeing and development. Sadly, too many disabled young people miss out on play every day. There are many barriers stopping disabled children from playing, from a lack of accessible play facilities to time, money and support.
That’s where Challengers comes in. Established in 1979 (known as The Adventurers Association) to address the lack of play for disabled children, we remove these barriers by providing safe and truly inclusive spaces across the South East. Disabled children and young people aged 4-18 years can come to our Play and Youth schemes and 555 Service, no matter how complex their needs are, and experience the same fun and friendship as their non-disabled peers, with activities adapted to suit their unique individual needs. While they are with us, their families receive essential respite from their caring responsibilities. We are passionate champions of inclusion and 46 years on our vision has not faltered – we continue to strive for a world where all children and young people can play together, freely.
