“It started when I helped my mother-in-law move after she was widowed,” Meirion explains. “I saw how physically and emotionally draining it was. Then I helped a separated friend who simply didn’t have the time or bandwidth, and later, a family moving back from abroad who didn’t know where to start. I realised people needed a professional Move Manager — someone to take the stress away.”
So, what is a Move Manager?
Think of us as your personal project manager for your entire move. We help clients prepare their homes for sale, stage them for estate agents’ photos, declutter, rehome possessions, coordinate removal companies, oversee the pack and unpack, and even source decorators, interior designers, or gardeners for the new home.
We can also chase through the conveyancing process and frequently find solutions to what others might see as insurmountable problems to keep the sale/purchase on track.
In short, we do as little or as much as our clients need. Our aim is always the same — to make it smooth, stress-free, and, dare I say, enjoyable.

The process starts with a friendly phone call. If it feels like a good fit, we’ll visit you at home to get to know you and your move. It’s such a personal service and every move is different so it’s important that there’s a real sense of trust and comfort from the start.

Ideally, as early as possible — the sooner we’re involved, the more we can plan and manage for you. But don’t worry if you’ve already started and it’s all feeling too much; we can step in at any stage and get things back on track.

Oh, there have been a few! We’ve shipped a Rolls Royce to New Zealand, sold 3,000 antique smoothing irons through an auction house, unpacked a library in exact alphabetical order, and moved a family who were hosting a wedding at their new house just two days later. Never a dull moment!
What’s your best piece of advice for anyone planning a move?

- Moving house is just one big project with a lot of tasks. Start by making a list of everything that has to happen and then action them one at a time. This reduces the overwhelm and keeps the process moving.
- If you are selling, your home is likely your biggest financial asset. Present it well and price it wisely and try to put your emotions to one side. A potential buyer needs to be able to picture themselves living there.
- And finally, be patient — good moves take planning, not panic.
What’s your prediction for the future of home-moving?
That one day, when people think about moving house, they’ll instinctively call a Move Manager — just as they would an estate agent or solicitor.
