Drag Story Time With That Girl | September 6 | Guildford Library
Join us at Guildford Library for a magical story times ession with our fabulous Drag Queen, The Girl! Delight in enchanting tales, captivating performance and colourful characters in an inclusive and joyful atmosphere suitable for children of all ages. Let your imagination soar as we celebrate the magic of storytelling and the vibrant art of drag. Don’t miss this unforgettable event that promises fun, laughter, and plenty of sparkle!
This family event is suitable for children of all ages. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
There will be a story time at 12pm and 2pm.
Please book for everyone so we know numbers unless they are babies in pushchairs. Deposits will be refunded after the event and only if you attend.
Opera on the Balcony | September 7 | The Guildhall
The Guildhall balcony becomes the stage for a free evening of Opera on the Balcony once again. Yes, they are back with a vengeance and will be bringing you arias and duets from well-loved composers such as Puccini, Verdi, Mozart, Lehár and many more. They’ll sing joyously into the warm evening air, and you can sit back, enjoy a chilled glass of something from the Guildford Fringe bar and let the music wash over you.
Bring a blanket or chair and enjoy this unique, free event on Guildford’s High Street. You are not permitted to bring your own alcohol to this event; there will be a bar available from which to purchase drinks.

Meet the Booming Lovelies! Fresh from performing at the Farnham and Cranleigh Literary Festivals. Ladies of a certain age, poetically primed and eager to charm with verses on everything from nostalgia for the last century to lost loves, the menopause, gin and the complexities of modern life. All welcome – there’s something for everyone – so relax and enjoy a wonderful performance.

The life of one of Shakespeare’s better known, but still, minor characters.
Toby Belch is unwell, the years of louche living, late nights and debauchery have taken their toll and now he faces his end with the knowledge that he is seen as a buffoon, a sot and a bully.
He could have been Hamlet, he could have been Macbeth… Is this his epitaph?

Improv Wolves | September 13 | The Back Room of The Star Inn
The fearless Improv Wolves create completely new comedy characters, scenes and stories on the spot from audience suggestions. Every show is different!
We might see a film noir detective pastiche, hear surprising confessions from some of the most famous names in history or have the dubious honour of being present for the debut of a brand-new improvised song.

Cult icons and definitely teenage heartthrobs “Boy Band” are finishing their world tour with an intimate gig in Guildford. Join pop stars Jools Jacuzzi, Ray Jay Jay Jay, and Hugh Way for this top secret (shhh!) show by a musical comedy pop sensation so massive you probably haven’t heard of them … yet.
