On this one-day introductory course, the morning session will concentrate on everything from basic woodland ecology to applying for management grants before heading out into the ancient woodland of Nower Wood to observe habitat management in action.

If it’s broken, fix it! The Fixery is a community space for swapping, sharing and repairing at Grove Gardens Chapel in Richmond. Open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, 11am to 4pm. Come earlier in the day to guarantee seeing one of our volunteer repairers. Last job is accepted at 3.30pm, or earlier if very busy. No need to book, just drop in. Reduce waste, save money and strengthen community connections.
