“We’re so grateful to all of the local interior designers and suppliers who are supporting this event and to The Barn at Bury Court for so kindly hosting this sale,” said Ruth Masters, head of community and events fundraising at Phyllis Tuckwell. “As the NHS/Government only covers around 25% of our costs, we have to raise over £30,000 every single day to be able to provide our services, and events like this are so important in helping us to do this.”

Every day they support over 250 patients, relatives and carers through a mix of medical and nursing care, therapies, counselling, social work advice and practical support.
The NHS/Government only covers around 25% of the hospice costs; therefore, they need to raise £30,000 every single day to be able to offer all their services, free of charge, to patients and their families and carers. Needless to say, Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice rely heavily on the support and generosity of the local community.
