GREEN HOMES: HOW ENERGY-EFFICIENT IMPROVEMENTS CAN BENEFIT HOMEOWNERS
Making your home more energy efficient can help reduce energy bills, improve comfort, lower carbon emissions and potentially increase your property’s value.
As green home finance continues to evolve, more homeowners are considering improvements such as loft and wall insulation, energy-efficient windows and doors, modern heating systems, solar panels, smart heating controls and LED lighting.
A home’s Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating is also becoming increasingly important, with energy-efficient properties often being cheaper to run and more attractive to buyers and lenders.
At Dentons Mortgages UK, we are committed to helping clients understand the opportunities available as the market develops. I am proud to share that I was selected by Lloyds Banking Group for a scholarship place on the Certificate in Financing Greener Homes programme.
Only 300 mortgage brokers across the UK were chosen for this opportunity.
Following a successful application in April, I completed the 10-week course and passed the final examination with a perfect score of 100 out of 100. I am now one of only 300 brokers in the UK to hold the Certificate in Financing Greener Homes, accredited by the London Institute of Banking & Finance.
This specialist knowledge enables me to better support clients as green home finance continues to grow.
